Let’s talk about DevOps. Why? Because we use the concept and systems of DevOps for our Services to our customers. After all, DevOps is the practice of operations and development engineers participating together in the entire service lifecycle, from design through the development process to production support. As Perrit, we love to add automation to this and human contact; more communication with you, our customer.

We believe there are three primary practice areas within IT:

1. Infrastructure Automation: create your systems, OS configs, and app deployments as code.
2. Continuous Delivery: build, test, deploy your apps in a fast and automated manner;
3. Site Reliability Engineering: operate your systems; monitoring and orchestration, sure, but also designing for operability in the first place.

So, how does Perrit see IT Service Management?

It just means how you manage the information systems that deliver values to your customers. Even if you are unaware of the term ITSM, if you’re running IT systems, then you are doing some sort of IT Service Management. It could include activities like planning and managing changes, fixing things when they go wrong or managing the IT department annual budget.
